You’ve been waiting a long time for a game like this, but it’s finally here. I can attest to this because I am one of them. However, what does the Callisto Protocol have in store for me? Come on; we can find out together.
Along with many other people, I was let down by Dead Space 3. In other words, it failed to uphold the ambiance that had come to be associated with this brand. However, I’m happy to announce that we’ve acquired a Dead Space-like sequel.
There is no need to be concerned about The Callisto Protocol being a letdown; it has a catchy title. Everything I’ve read indicates that you’ll have a wonderful time. You’ve heard of The Callisto Protocol. Let’s find out what’s going on.
Is the Callisto Protocol going to be released soon?
Striking Distance Studios have not announced the Callisto Protocol’s release date. It has been stated that their science fiction horror game will be released in 2022.
So, by E3 2022, I’ll know more about The Callisto Protocol’s release time. Until then, I can confirm that this game is being developed for next-generation consoles. Our PS4s and Xbox Ones will not handle The Callisto Protocol.
The Callisto Protocol Is Compatible With Which Operating Systems?
As of June 2019, Glen Schofield had started Striking Distance Studios. After that, he announced that the Callisto Protocol would be compatible with next-generation consoles.
Now you can play this game on your Xbox One X/S, PS5, or PC. This is great news for gamers everywhere. I’ll have to get a new computer before Striking Distance Studios delivers The Callisto Protocol in 2022.
Callisto Protocol: Where Does It Take Place?
This was the point at which I began to become excited. The Callisto Protocol will occur in the future; it has been confirmed. Over the next 300 years, we’ll be transported to one of Jupiter’s moons. When was the last time you looked back towards the year 2022?
What sleights of hand might we expect? Right now, that’s a mystery to me. But I can reveal that the Black Iron Prison of Callisto is the focus of this game’s storyline. The Callisto Protocol will have this as its primary configuration.
Callisto Protocol and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds
To shock you and make you wonder, “What’s going on?” is what I’m about to do. The Callisto Protocol is situated in the same universe as PUBG: Battlegrounds; it has been verified.
That’s exactly what I was saying. 300 years after the events of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), a science-fiction horror game is being developed.
However, I don’t expect PUGB to have many connections to the Callisto Protocol shortly. We already know that these two games will share certain similarities in terms of gameplay, so you can be assured that this next-generation title will have its distinct personality and feel.
Features and Story Mode
Incredibly, there’s a lot more information available on The Callisto Protocol than you’d imagine. Initially, we learned that the Black Iron Prison was infected with an unknown illness.
Humans infected with this disease transform into monstrous beasts who prowl the prison’s halls. When confronted by these ferocious animals, you’ll be in for a brutal and unexpected encounter. However, I’m more interested in Striking Distance Studios’ use of robotic androids in The Callisto Protocol.
Are these robots under our control? Is this going to help with the infection’s removal? Who knows, but I’d prefer an answer sooner rather than later.
It’s not hard to see the similarities between Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol’s movie footage. This is because Striking Distance Studios is working on a prequel to the Dead Space series of games.
The Callisto Protocol will not feature any characters from the previous series. Both games are set in different worlds. In addition, Electronic Arts have stated that they will be producing a Dead Space 4.
In the trailer, we get our first look at an unnamed individual. However, I believe this character may make a brief cameo in the campaign before his demise. But he won’t be the main character that we see in action.
There is no indication that Striking Distance Studios will show off their major character in The Callisto Protocol; therefore, I’ll be curious to see if the protagonist arrives at Black Iron Prison via spaceship.
As I’ve previously stated, there will be no global connections between Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol. There is, however, one point of convergence. The HUD System was shown in the trailer for an unknown prisoner.
The Diegetic Hud System is a recognizable sight to anyone who has played the Dead Space games.’ As a result, we checked our health, armor, weapons, and cosmetic gear.
As a result, I’m crossing my fingers that this tool will be brought back with improved options. In The Callisto Protocol, Striking Distance Studios hasn’t said anything about how the diegetic HUD system will work.
I can’t help but be excited about what this new game has in store. A true successor to the Dead Space series has been a long time coming. Once Striking Distance Studios releases more information about The Callisto Protocol, you may expect additional updates.

Special edition
Striking Distance Studios couldn’t possibly go without a special edition of The Callisto Protocol, can they?
This is the perfect game for a collector’s box set if you’re a fan. If the special edition included artwork or a concrete statue, I’d even consider purchasing this game in-store.
The Callisto Protocol may be available only as downloadable content for the special edition, in which case I’ll be purchasing it for my PS5 or Xbox Series X directly.
My knowledge of The Callisto Protocol: Special Edition is completely limited. Until Striking Distance Studios publishes the official release date for their new game, there will be no further information. That would be wonderful.
Game Trailer
Striking Distance Studios has made clear that the announcement trailer is a cinematic experience. However, Unreal Engine 5 is being used to create this new game.
We may expect a graphically stunning game as a result of this. Realism, on the other hand, maybe too much for many gamers. You can ask yourself if seeing your worst fears come true in a real-life scenario is too horrifying. I don’t know, but you can bet I’ll be playing this game in the dark.
