After a three-year absence, HBO has premiered a whole new season of Perry Mason. In 1932, when the rest of the United States was beginning to recover from the Great Depression, Los Angeles was booming.
Perry Mason, a down-and-out private investigator, is still reeling from the devastation of the Great War and his recent divorce at the beginning of Season 2. His findings have far-reaching implications for Mason, his friends and family and local politicians when he is recruited to investigate a high-profile child kidnapping prosecution.
Our main characters, Perry, Della Street, and Paul Drake, will soon find themselves at the center of a case that reveals massive conspiracies and forces them to question what it means to be truly guilty. The release date for all eight episodes of Season 2 is March 6, 2023.

Matthew Rhys as Perry Mason
Perry Mason, played by Matthew Rhys, is a private detective and ex-soldier living in Depression-era Los Angeles. He is a superb detective with a quick mind and keen observation abilities, willing to put himself at risk to get to the bottom of the mysteries he investigates.
He is deeply committed to fairness and will challenge authority when he thinks it is wrong. The trauma of World War One and the breakdown of his marriage expose Mason to be a flawed and multifaceted human being.
Welsh actor Rhys is most recognized for his two Emmy Award nods for portraying Philip Jennings in the hit F.X. series The Americans. He has also made guest appearances on sitcoms like Brothers and Sisters and films like A Lovely Day in the Neighborhood and Death Comes to Pemberley.
Juliet Rylance as Della Street
As E.B. Jonathan’s assistant and legal secretary, Della Street is Juliet Rylance. Throughout his inquiries, Mason is greatly aided by her assistance. Della is portrayed as a competent and well-organized individual who helps to keep Mason’s crazy life in order.
Waterston made her acting debut in the film Michael Clayton. Following her breakout performance in Inherent Vice, she continued to feature in films as a supporting character, such as Robot & Frank and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby. She has since acted in several critically acclaimed films, including Steve Jobs, Alien: Covenant, Babylon, and the Fantastic Beasts series, where she plays American witch Tina Goldstein.
