Hetalia, which has an allegorical plot that primarily concentrates on world history is one of the most intelligent anime released in recent years. With a unique perspective and style that could only come from anime, the series can explore some of the most important historical events using personifications of many nations worldwide.
It’s a show that makes you laugh aloud while being startlingly factually correct. With a plot like this, it makes sense that the anime’s core would be its characters and their growth.
According to the reports of Honeysanime.com, These are the Top 10 Hetalia Characters:
10. Sealand
Sealand is an abandoned sea fortress that was eventually established as a nation by the man who seized it. Well, perhaps not, given that other countries don’t value his sovereignty. But that doesn’t stop him from attracting attention.

Despite not being acknowledged by the larger states, he consistently strives to participate and puts in a lot of effort. He refers to England as “Jerk England” or “British Jerk” demonstrating his intense dislike for that country.
The underlying reason for this is historical as Sealand was an abandoned British sea fortification after World War II. Britain declined to acknowledge it once it was asserted to be a sovereign state. Hetalia’s ability to make fun of current events while maintaining a startling degree of historical accuracy is what we love about Sealand.
9. Canada
Canada represents everything that is clichéd about a country. Canada is undoubtedly one of the most endearing characters in the anime. She is kind, laid-back and incredibly patient with and understanding of the foreigners who keep coming in time.
The other Allied nations find it a little unsettling to perform a head count since they’ll spot six people when there are only five. Despite being a part of the Allied forces, he is seldom ever noticed.
8. China
Since China is the oldest of the Allies, some people believe it is eternal or at least 4,000–5,000 years old. Being the oldest of the East Asian countries, he is frequently photographed with pandas and his distinctive wok and spoon, which he uses to battle Germany and Japan amusingly.
This character is recognized as a favorite by many people. He is an excellent cook with a terrific personality to boot. That China exhibits vast wisdom amassed over the thousands of years he has lived makes him exceptionally magnificent.
He is an excellent martial artist, especially since powerful techniques like Kung Fu have his name attached to them. Additionally, he has a weakness for all things adorable, as evidenced by his fondness for Hello Kitty products.

7. Italy
Italy is one nation that embodies the idea of a wise man following a fool’s advice. Italy, who is often viewed as a coward in battle and too upbeat for his good, is one of the show’s most tender and loving characters. Despite having a complicated past, he enjoys making everyone smile.
This petite cowardly guy does have a little bit of bravery inside of him, even though he is typically depicted as reliant on Germany to handle several serious problems. After all, no one could forget that Italy overcame Turkey by itself in battle during its prime. Italy is a character who deservingly belongs on this list since she is endearing, charming, bubbly, and amusing.
6. France
The anime’s portrayal of France blatantly references the nation’s lengthy history. He sees England, a country he raised, as his enemy and considers himself the older brother of the European nations. Despite his honest belief that all of his previous setbacks were a joke from God, he nonetheless thinks he was endowed with charisma and unique cooking talents.
5. Russia
Of all the Hetalia personifications, Russia undoubtedly has the most complex past. Although other countries, such as the Baltic states, fear him to the point where they even cower in his presence, he is a good man on the inside. He truly wants to be loved after growing up alone. Even when they don’t get along, he has a soft place for the other Allies. It resembles a giant teddy bear.
4. England
England has endured a lot, which makes him highly endearing. For his lengthy existence, he was known as many different things, including a Britannia Angel, Raging Pirate, Dashing Knight, Police Commander, spy and secret service operative, Punk Rocker, reigning Prince, and even a reasonably powerful sorcerer with a decent understanding of Black Magic.
He has a ton of experience with just about every historical occurrence, including wars, famines, loneliness, and internal conflict about what is ultimately best for his colonies. In this clever little anime series, England is a nation that could never be matched since it is decorated, unusual, and ultimately irreplaceable. Yes, I do think that Hetalia wouldn’t be what it is without him.
3. Japan
Hetalia’s ability to make fun of itself makes it incredibly impressive. Hetalia chose to show every cliche of Japanese society instead of following the traditional anime path of making fun of foreigners and making Japan the only sane cast member. It does this flawlessly.
2. America
America was born and raised in France and England, and as he develops into a unique individual, he strives for his freedom. His brother Canada often confuses him because of how similar they both look. Despite being occasionally noisy, egotistical, and annoying, he is nevertheless portrayed as a good-hearted person who genuinely cares about his friends. Oh, and he’s also reasonably intelligent.
The character is compelling, driven, and accurate to the American Dream, mainly when he portrays the part of a hero. In addition, despite being fully aware of his harmful eating patterns, America loves to eat. He tries to do many things to be healthy, including various creative, distinctive, but ultimately unsuccessful diets, which is one joke about him that gets to me.

1. Germany
I have to admit that I was a little leery of Hetalia’s use of comedy to personify Germany. After all, a significant portion of anime depicts events related to the Second World War. For some reason, though, Hetalia succeeds in developing a tsundere character that is both intense and endearing simultaneously.
He has the propensity to act aggressively toward other countries, such as Italy and Japan, but he also has a gentler, kinder side. The joke about Germany’s “mad boss,” which essentially refers to the Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler who was in charge of the mass murder of Jews during the height of the Holocaust, really convinced me to join Hetalia.
