What do you think is Santos Gay? Originally from the Dominican Republic, George Anthony Devolder Santos is now a politician in the U.S. state of New York. Santos a Republican won the election in 2022 to represent New York’s 3rd congressional district, which includes a portion of northern Long Island and northeast Queens.
The New York Times and other media sites reported six weeks after Santos’ election that many of the claims in his autobiography, including those pertaining to his lineage, schooling, job, charitable activities, and property ownership, looked to be fictitious. According to him, his mother’s family is made up of Ukrainian Jews who escaped to Brazil during the Holocaust, although data gathered from various sources demonstrate that his mother’s family was indigenous to Brazil and that none of her ancestors were either Ukrainian or Jewish. In the United States, Santos has been found guilty in eviction and debt cases, while in Brazil, he admitted to checking fraud accusations that he now rejects.
Is Santos Gay?
Is Santos Gay? After news spread that New York Republican George Santos was married to a woman some Democrats began to speculate that he might be gay. On Thursday, openly gay Democratic Representative Ritchie Torres of New York and Democratic Representative Ted Lieu of California published a Daily Beast piece claiming that Santos had never mentioned his prior marriage to a woman.
“Please, tell me you’re joking. George Santos, a far-right Republican, seems to have lied about his s*xuality in addition to his political affiliation. In the New Year, I may be the only out and proud homos*xual lawmaker in New York “On Thursday, Torres made an online post via Twitter. According to court records obtained by the Daily Beast, Santos appears to have been involved in a divorce from a woman in September of 2019.

Santos declared his support for the LGBTQ community back in October, telling USA Today, “I am out gay, have never had a difficulty with my s*xual identity in the previous decade, and I can tell you and assure you, I will always be a champion for LGBTQ folks.”
Some Democrats had doubts about Santos’ honesty in his political claims and promises due to the inconsistencies around his s*xuality when he ran for Congress in the midterm elections last November. According to the Times, Santos lied to voters about his wealth and had been arrested for check fraud in Brazil before. He also didn’t live at the address where he was registered to vote. Both his education and work experience seemed to have been exaggerated.
The Times also reported that Santos, a conservative candidate who has made unsubstantiated claims of election fraud in 2020 and who was present at former president Donald Trump’s January 6, 2021, Stop the Steal rally in Washington, D.C., did not appear to have attended Baruch College or worked for Goldman Sachs or Citigroup.
Rep-elect Robert Garcia, himself an homos*xual man, tweeted on Wednesday and then retweeted the Daily Beast post on Thursday with the comment, “Listen, at this point, I’m hoping he lied about being gay since we don’t want him.” Also, Jewish Insider released an article citing documents that contradict his claims of Jewish ancestry and descent from Holocaust survivors.
You’ve got to be kidding me.
Looks like far-right Republican George Santos, who fabricated his whole political identity, may have even lied about his sexuality.
I may be the only actual openly gay member of Congress in New York in the New Year. 😉

While Santos has not publicly refuted any of the Times’ claims, his attorney Joseph Murray reportedly claimed in a statement on Monday that the election of a homos*xual conservative Latino poses a challenge to the “Left.” It should come as no surprise that Congressman-elect Santos has enemies at The New York Times, Murray said, because they are trying to destroy his good name with these malicious charges. With his future in Congress in question under Santos’s possible Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s leadership, the GOP has urged Santos to be forthright about his record.
Santos’s Early Life
The man who would become Santos’ great-grandfather on his mother’s side was born in Belgium and moved to Brazil in 1884. Santos claims to be a dual citizen due to his parents’ Brazilian birthplace. However, genealogical records and other evidence show that Santos’s ancestors have lived in Brazil for at least three generations and that there is no indication that they have any connection to Ukraine, any Jewish heritage, or are Holocaust survivors. Santos claimed that his maternal grandparents were Ukrainian Jews who fled to Belgium and then to Brazil to escape the Holocaust during World War II.
Santos’s Background and Claims
Santos worked at Dish Network’s College Point, Queens, call center from October 2011 to July 2012. He allegedly boasted to friends and colleagues at the time that his family was extremely well off and had a large amount of property in both the United States and Brazil. His assertion that he and his family owned 13 rental properties in New York was a staple of his 2022 congressional campaign. Neither his campaign’s financial disclosure forms nor public records revealed the existence of such properties. Santos told the Post that he did not have any real estate at the end of 2022, disproving the assertion.
