What is Don Gullett’s Cause of Death?

In 1986, Gullett suffered a heart attack. He had been a cigarette smoker. He had suffered another heart attack in 1990 and had triple bypass cardiac surgery in June of that year. Gullett died on February 14, 2024, at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio at the age of 73.

His cause of death is not yet revealed officially but it is expected that he passed away due to heart issues. Whenever we get any official confirmation we will share it with you. The Cincinnati Reds, his primary team for multiple seasons announced his death on their X page.

They tweeted, “The Cincinnati Reds offer condolences to the family and friends of Reds Hall of Fame pitcher Don Gullett, who died today at age 73.”

Don Gullett’s passing will shake up the MLB, but especially the Reds. For a very long period, he was a highly successful and unique member of their club. Although the squad has sent their sympathies to friends and family, it is unknown whether they will wear any patches or do anything else to commemorate his loss throughout the season.
