Who Will Appear as Villian in Beyond the Spider-Verse?
The Spot played by Jason Schwartzman is set to return as the main antagonist in “Beyond the Spider-Verse” after making his screen debut in “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”.
Together with Scarlett Johansson, who co-starred with him in Astriod City, Schwartzman hinted that his big evil would return in the third film and would be “bigger, badder and holier”. Powers disclosed that “Spot is the villain of the next two films:” before the release of the second Spider-Verse film.
“He’s the villain of the next two films… and let’s just say that the Spot and Miles are connected in surprising ways. The Spot is an interesting villain because he seems like a joke, but when you really look at his powers, there’s incredible potential. His ability to open portals across dimensions sets him up perfectly for the Spider-Verse.”
What Will Happen in Beyond the Spider-Verse?
In Spider-Verse 2, the youthful protagonist is entangled in a world where “criminality runs rampant” and the Sinister Six have been able to flourish and take over the world.
At the conclusion of Across the Spider-Verse, Hailee Steinfeld’s Spider-Gwen assembled a team in the hopes of returning Miles to his home universe.
