Timothy Treadwell, commonly known as Grizzly Man was an American bear enthusiast, environmentalist, documentary filmmaker and creator of the bear-protection group Grizzly People. On April 29, 1957, he was born and on October 5, 2003, he passed away.
What Was Found in Grizzly Man’s Autopsy Report?
On September 29, Timothy Treadwell and Amie set up camp close to Kaflia Lake’s beach. The campers and equipment were delivered by Andrew Airways of Kodiak. On October 6, Willie Fulton, a pilot for Andrew, returned to pick up Treadwell and Huguenard and found the camp deserted and in disarray.
In the course of their investigation, Park personnel and Alaska State Troopers found the bodies of two people, eventually identified as Treadwell and Huguenard. According to the investigation’s finding their deaths were caused by wounds sustained from a bear.

What Really Happened With Grizzly Man & His Girlfriend?
The documentary Grizzly Man by German filmmaker Werner Herzog claims that in accordance with Timothy’s diaries, his girlfriend Amie was afraid of bears and felt uneasy around them. Have a look at the documentary in a tweet provided below:

On September 29, Timothy Treadwell and his girlfriend set up camp close to Kaflia Lake’s beach. On Sunday, October 5, 2003, at noon, Treadwell had a satellite phone conversation with a friend in Malibu, California; he claimed that there were no bear issues.
The following day, on October 6, Willy Fulton, a Kodiak air taxi pilot went to pick up Treadwell and Huguenard from their campground but found it deserted, so he called the nearby park officials.
Investigation led immediately to the discovery of the couple’s dismembered remains. A little distance from the camp, Treadwell’s deformed skull, partial spine, right forearm and hand with his wristwatch still on were discovered.
Huguenard’s partial remains were discovered partially buried in a pile of soil and branches adjacent to the damaged and destroyed tents. While attempting to remove the dead, park authorities killed a huge male bear (marked Bear 141) guarding the location.
Shortly after, another young bear was killed as it charged the park rangers. Bear 141 was found to have human body parts, including fingers and limbs, after a local necropsy. Before it could be necropsied, the younger bear was devoured by other animals.
This was the first known instance of a person being murdered by a bear in the park’s 85-year history. According to investigators, the incident was captured on video which was found at the scene, but the recording (this video is not completely verified but it matches the description given in documentaries) only captured voices and cries as a brown bear mauled Treadwell to death.
Treadwell shouts that he is being attacked at the beginning of the clip. Screaming, “Come out here; I’m being killed out here,” Troopers speculated that the attack might have taken place at night or while the camera was concealed inside a duffel bag due to the fact that the recording featured only sound.
Filmmaker Herzog argues in Grizzly Man that the camera’s lens cover was left on, implying that Treadwell and Huguenard were preparing for another movie scene when the attack took place. Just prior to the attack, the camera was turned on, but it was able to record only six minutes of audio before running out of tape.
