Erica Alonso, a lively California woman who was 27 years old went out for the night on Valentine’s Day 2015. She went with her ex-boyfriend “Larry Rivera” to a lively bar in Orange County, California.
Before she left, she told her sister that she would be home later that evening, but she never came back. Her absence made her family and friends sad and worried and they were desperate for her safe return.
But more than two months later her dead body was found in a dry creek bed. She was found in a terrible way wrapped in layers of plastic bags and tied tightly with duct tape.
What Was Found in Erica Alonso’s Autopsy Report?
The autopsy report on Erica Alonso’s body said that there were no signs of violence. In the Cleveland National Forest, her body was found in a dry creek on April 27, 2015, 73 days after Alonso was last seen. After arguing with her boyfriend on Valentine’s Day, the 27-year-old woman disappeared which caused worry and a big search.
Even though there were no obvious signs of damage on her body when it was examined. Alonso’s body showed no signs of injury when it was looked at more closely. The lab report said that she died because she had too much alcohol and gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB).
Her body had three times the legal limit of alcohol. GHB, which is also called “the date rape drug” was found in her body. Even though the cops thought the person had died from an overdose, they couldn’t say for sure.
There wasn’t enough proof to suggest foul play in her death, so they called it an overdose. But when you look at the facts, there are contradictions.
Authorities claim they do not think a homicide was the cause of her death. Lt. Jeff Hallock, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said:
“Based on the totality of the investigation including interviews, evidence collection, autopsy and toxicology results, investigators do not believe Ms. Alonso was the victim of a homicide.”

What Were the Important Facts Found in Erica Alonso’s Case?
Erica and Larry, her ex-boyfriend went to Sutra Lounge, a lively nightclub in Costa Mesa, California that is known as the best place to party. The next day, Erica’s sister called Larry out of worry because she hadn’t heard from her sister.
Larry said that they had spent the night together, but that they got into a heated fight that made Alonso leave his apartment at 4 am in a hurry. Larry says that she left soon after in her Honda Civic. On March 25, there was finally a break.
Erica’s 2014 Honda Civic was found in a parking spot not too far from where her parents live. All of her things, except for her phone were still in the car which was strange. Biologists had a hard time finding a dead body in the Cleveland National Forest near the Ortega Highway on April 27.
