Days Gone is a PlayStation 4 action-adventure game that was created by Bend Studio and released by Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2019. However, we shall talk about its second sequel in this post.
What is Days Gone 2 Release Date?
When news spread that Sony had recently rejected Days Gone 2 in 2019, gamers felt let down. Some think it was because of a large budget that didn’t seem realistic, while others think it was because of its unpopularity and low sales.
And much to our surprise, a fresh rumor involving the PS5 version of the game’s sequel has appeared online. Someone tweeted, “Days Gone 2 is currently in development”.

This tweet is only a rumor. There are countless rumors in the game industry that have been proven false. After viewing the latest PlayStation Showcase, Days Gone’s director “Jeff Ross” posted on Twitter that he was disappointed. It made him think about “The Days Gone” sequel.
I get a little bummed out from these #PlayStationShowcase shows because they only remind me we could of had Days Gone 2 out a month ago if we’d have just stuck to our guns.

Ross responded to a question about why the sequel couldn’t still happen by saying that too much time had gone, numerous team members had departed the studio and Sony was uninterested in producing it.
Too much time has passed, and over 90 people from the original team have left the studio. And Sony just doesn’t seem to care for it.

It appears that Days Gone will no longer release new games in the future. Days Gone was certainly not a subpar game. It featured a compelling narrative set in a vivid zombie-filled setting. Its poor sales were caused by it being overshadowed by other films released that year.
Days Gone 2 is almost comparable to “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” in terms of genre excellent games with lots of room for development. Sony had so ruled out the idea of a sequel. This indicates that the likelihood of it occurring right now is extremely low or nonexistent.

So according to Days Gone’s director, Jeff Ross posts we can say that there is no hope that Days Gone will be back with its second sequel.
