Legacy Superman, which is being produced by DC Studios. According to Variety, Fillion has been cast as Guy Gardner’s incarnation of the Green Lantern in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman reboot film, which Gunn created and will direct.
It has been announced that Isabela Merced, who previously portrayed Dora in “Dora and the Lost City of Gold,” will now take on the role of Hawkgirl, another DC character. Edi Gathegi, who appeared in X-Men: First Class, will reprise the role of Mister Terrific in the upcoming film.
Nathan Fillion Cast As Green Lantern In Superman
Nathan Fillion has been cast in the role of Green Lantern in the upcoming film Superman. David Corenswet, who plays Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan, who plays Lois Lane, are already part of the group. Superman: Legacy will be the first movie in the new DC Universe that Gunn and DC Studios co-head Peter Safran are making.
Fillion played The Detachable Kid (also known as T.D.K.) in Gunn’s 2021 film The Suicide Squad, which took place in the now-defunct DC Extended Universe. Fillion has also done the character of Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern, in a number of DC animated movies. Superman: Legacy will be the first movie in the new DCU to be shown on a big screen, but the Man of Steel won’t be the first hero in the shared world.

Instead, Legacy is intended to bring Superman into a world where there are already superheroes. We now know who some of the other DC heroes the Big Blue Boy Scout will meet are, thanks to the new casting details. Guy Gardner is a key member of the Green Lantern Corps in the DC books.
In fact, he was one of the people who could have taken over for Abin Sur when the dying Green Lantern crashed on Earth. But Abin Sur’s power ring picked Hal Jordan over Guy because he was closer to the crash site. Guy was then forced to be Hal’s backup.
After Guy was temporarily unable to help Hal, John Stewart stepped in to help. Guy did become a Green Lantern, though, and he may be best known for his time with the Justice League International. In the late 1997 TV movie/failed pilot Justice League of America, Matthew Settle played the part. Before the project was changed, Finn Wittrock was set to play Guy Gardner in the Green Lantern series on HBO Max.

Which Other DC Heroes Just Joined The Fray?
Hawkgirl, on the other hand, has been around since the Golden Age of comics and has been in many different forms. She may be best known as a Justice Society of America member. Sahar Biniaz played Hawkgirl on Smallville, and in the Arrowverse, Ciara Renée played a different version of the character.
Still, Hawkgirl hasn’t been shown in a live-action movie yet, though Aldis Hodge played Hawkman in the 2022 DCEU movie Black Adam. Last, the name “Mister Terrific” is used by two different DC heroes. Terry Sloane was the first Mister Terrific. He was first seen in the 1940s, during the Golden Age.
Michael Holt came on the scene as the second Mister Terrific in the late 1990s. In comic books. Michael Holt is the third smartest person in the DC Universe, after Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor. He is a master at martial arts and an Olympic-level athlete. Echo Kellum used to play Curtis Holt/Mister Terrific on Arrow, which was a different version of Michael Holt.
