Paul Cattermole, who was in the band S Club 7, dἰed at the age of 46, just a few weeks after the band said they were going on tour again.
A statement from his family and the pop group said –
“It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole.”
It said that he dἰed on Thursday (6 April) and that no suspicious circumstances surrounded his deἀth. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, S Club 7 was one of the most popular pop groups.

Reach, “Don’t Stop Movin’,” and “S Club Party” were all big hits for them. They had 11 singles in the top ten in the UK, including four number ones, and sold more than 10 million albums around the world. Two Brit Awards were also given to them.
The statement said –
“While the cause of deἀth is currently unknown, Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances. Paul’s family, friends and fellow members of S Club request privacy at this time”.
His bandmates wrote on social media that they were “truly devastated.” They wrote –
“There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel.”
“We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.”
“He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us.”
In February, the group announced that they would be getting back together for a tour. The tour will have 11 dates at arenas in the UK and Ireland later this year.
Fans and friends have sent a lot of tributes. Vernon Kay, a TV and radio host, said that hearing about Cattermole’s deἀth was “so very sad.”
Jeremy Edwards, Rachel Stevens’s ex-boyfriend and a member of the band S Club 7 wrote –
“My thoughts and love go to all your friends and family.”
Manager Simon Fuller, who formed the group in 1998 said –
“Paul was a beacon of light for a generation of pop music fans and he will be greatly missed. We’re all deeply shocked and saddened by this news.”
Lorraine Kelly, a TV host, said that Cattermole was “lovely” to talk to and that she was “struck by how gentle and shy he was.”
