Three men accused of assaulting rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine in a South Florida gym earlier this month have been arrested. Rafael Medina Jr., 44, Octavious Medina, 24, and Anthony Maldonado were arrested on Friday 31 March, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
The three guys “have been discovered, arrested, and are now being booked/processed into the Palm Beach County Prison,” according to social media posts from the sheriff’s office.
6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, was attacked by a group of people at a LA Fitness in Lake Worth, Florida on March 21. He was taken to the hospital. Miami’s WTVJ-TV received a disturbing video of several men cornering and kicking Hernandez in the gym’s washroom, and the 26-year-old rapper could be seen emerging from the stall with blood all over his face.
Surveillance footage from the gym, which was posted by TMZ the day after the attack, shows the assailants heading straight for the restroom where they find 6ix9ine.

The Times reached out to the rapper’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, for comment, but Lazzaro did not immediately respond.
The “Mala” and “Fefe” rapper was arrested in 2018 on suspicion of being a member of a violent street gang, but it’s not clear if the assault had anything to do with that. After pleading guilty and cooperating with federal authorities, he received a two-year jail term.
The wide spread of COVID-19 prompted his early release in 2020. The three individuals “should be attending initial appearance this morning,” according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
