BAFTA 2023 nominations are announced on 22 march 2023. This British Academy voter shares their love for the small screen shows. According to the new announcement comedy-drama, ‘This is Going to Hurt’ BBC/AMC series and ‘The Responder’ take lead with nearly six categories nominations.
After Apple TV+ shows Bad Sisters and Slow Horses, Netflix series The Crown, and BBC show the English received the second position as they were nominated in five categories each. The third position was nominated in four categories Am I Being Unreasonable?, Big Boys, Somewhere Boy, and Top Boy made their place.
Nearly 128 were announced as nominated. Ans in these nominates BBC lead with 81, Channel 4 with 33 nominations, at the third rank you can Netflix who is nominated 24 times. Despite this ITV, Apple TV+, and more get multiple nominations.
Several celebrities get their first nominations for the BAFTA TV award. These stars are Gary Oldman for Slow Horses, Cillian Murphy for Peaky Blinders, and Daniel Radcliffe for Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.
A jury selects all these nominations after seeing every angle and many suggestions. The BAFTA TV Craft award will be going on April 23 in 2023 at the Brewery in London. And BAFTA TV award will be organized on May 14, 2023, at Royal Festival’s Hall, which is also broadcast on BBC.
