Tinyes, a young girl from Valley Stream, New York was brutally murd*red in multiple ways. She was thirteen at the time of her de@th. At the time, she was a very content and well-liked young lady in her neighborhood.
Tinyes told her brother that she was heading to a friend’s house. After waiting a short while, Richard went to the friend’s house, where he was informed that Kelly had not been there.
Richard was informed that Kelly had entered the Golub residence through a neighborhood child. Richard tried calling the Golubs and knocking on their door, but neither answered.
At about 5 o’clock, his parents returned home and, like Richard, tried fruitlessly to find Kelly. Sharon Stonel, a mutual friend of Kelly’s, said she also had seen Kelly enter the Golubs’ home. The next day, two detectives visited the Golub home and spoke with numerous members of the Golub family.
After some time, the investigators came back to the house and asked for permission to conduct a search. The police examined the residence after getting permission from John Golub, the senior resident and located Kelly Tinyes’s body in the Golub’s house basement.
When did Robert Golub Admit His Crime?
After a blo*dy handprint matching Robert Golub’s was found at the crime scene, he was arrested and tried for Kelly’s murd*r in late 1989. John Golub, his brother was suspected of being a participant in the murd*r but was never legally charged with the crime.
Golub’s attorney, Salvatore Marinello, cast doubt on the reliability of the DNA evidence and questioned the legality of the police search during the trial.
The examinations on the bl*od samples were accurate and it was declared that the chances of the bl*od belonging to someone other than Robert Golub were 1 in 707 million, according to a supervisor.
Golub was convicted guilty of second-degree murd*r and given a life sentence of 25 years in jail on April 7, 1990. Golub made an effort to appeal, but his request was denied. His first parole hearing was on November 18, 2013, putting him within striking distance of the 25-year minimum sentence for the crime.
When he applied on November 25th, he was turned down. Parole officials ruled that his early release would be “incompatible with the welfare of society.” Robert Golub has always maintained his innocence.
At his parole hearing in November 2013, Golub admitted that he had accidentally knocked Tinyes down the steps, knocking her unconscious before assaulting and stabbing her to de@th. In 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2021, Golub’s parole requests were all turned down.
According to autopsy reports, she was kicked, b*t, stomped on and punched, among other things.
