Season 2 of Hunters answered the question of what would happen to Hitler if he survived World War II and while Jonah (Logan Lerman) and his team of Nazi hunters did deliver justice by infiltrating his secret compound and delivering him to authorities for a trial.
At one point during Hitler’s trial, he was almost able to avoid imprisonment thanks to a staged medical emergency that had to be stopped only by the Hunters. Is the team’s ordeal over now that the big man is in jail? As a result of Harriet’s (Kate Mulvany) revelations about his grandmother’s murderer, Jonah (Ty Simpkins) is in a difficult position.
The records show that Ruth (Jeannie Berlin) found out that Meyer (Al Pacino) was a Nazi in hiding named Wilhelm “The Wolf” Zuchs. Season 1’s depiction of the events leading up to Ruth’s death is confirmed in a parallel storyline that flashes back to those events.

Jonah’s decision to kill Meyer in Season 1 is vindicated to some extent by this revelation but Harriet’s delivery of the news comes with a warning. When he asks her why she tells him that evil is nonstop. As the series comes to a close, Jonah seems to be scouting a new target while on honeymoon with his new wife Clara (Emily Rudd).
Does this mean that he will continue hunting despite having previously vowed to give it up after Hitler’s return? “I would point viewers toward the line that Harriet says to him, evil doesn’t retire, so why should we, how can we?” creator and showrunner David Weil tells.
In season 2, viewers watched as Jonah grew close to Chava, the sister of his late grandmother (Jennifer Jason Leigh). Weil says he met her because he was looking for connective tissue or long-lost family to help center Jonah back to the person that he is.
