Officials said the elementary school principal from Huntington Beach committed suicide by jumping off a parking structure at Disneyland.
On Saturday Christopher Christensen passed away. At around 8:58 p.m., Anaheim Police received a report from a parking garage at Disneyland. Once the police came they discovered the body of a guy. The Orange County Coroner identified the guy as Christensen on Sunday. It has been determined that Christensen committed suicide.
Beginning with this school year, Christensen served as principal at William T. Newland Elementary School in Huntington Beach. He spent 22 years working for the Fountain Valley School District, mostly as a principal; he oversaw Roch Courreges Elementary, Fulton Middle and the defunct Moiola K-8 School.

“Mr. Christensen has been a respected leader in FVSD for over 20 years,” Fountain Valley Superintendent Katherine Stopp said in an email to the school community. His contributions to this community are immeasurable. He was a father, husband, brother, and friend to so many. His passing leaves us devastated and heartbroken.”
Christensen announced his administrative leave from work in a Facebook post, saying, “A recent fight with my wife landed me in jail that night.”

Christensen pleaded guilty to counts of endangering a child and violence. Next Monday was his court date.
“…Please remember me for all the good I brought to the world of education,” he wrote. Christensen leaves behind a wife and five children (three biological and two adopted).
