This week, Kesha paid tribute to the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins with a performance that may have gone a little too far. On Tuesday, at the second of two memorial shows for Hawkins, the Foo Fighters sang a cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes” at The KIA Forum in Los Angeles. She sang louder than usual to make up for the wardrobe malfunction during which her breasts became revealed, however, this resulted in a hemorrhage of one of her vocal cords.
“So, when my knickers were coming down, I decided to sing only to keep others from seeing my wardrobe mishap. Loud, “Kesha, 35, captioned photographs from the event on Instagram on Thursday. “And today I learned that I had a vocal chord hemorrhage. [sic] Soooo. I’m sharing every single photo I’ve taken right now because. Quite a moment, indeed.”
Kesha wore a silver cloak, bralette top, miniskirt, and high boots over a sheer bodysuit and a feathered neckpiece for her performance, which also featured Hawkins’ cover band Chevy Metal.
As she belted out the Bowie song, the bralette top began to slide to the side, displaying the sparkling nipple pasties beneath. The shirt eventually broke in half all the way down the middle.
“OK, I have to make light of this issue because Taylor Hawkins would’ve liked that my tits just fell out,” Kesha shrugged onstage. So, disregard my titterings.
She paused for a moment to reflect on Taylor Hawkins’ legacy before carrying on with the song. ‘I feel extremely special to be here with all you guys,’ Kesha said to the crowd, ‘because Taylor meant something different to each and every one of us.
She went on to say “Some people considered him a hero. What an f—ing legend he was! To put it simply, he was a friend. He had a family and a job. He had a family and a wife. Finally, I’d like to declare tonight that Taylor, you’re staying with us for the rest of the time. Please raise your hands if you support Taylor.”
Joan Jett, Alanis Morissette, Def Leppard, Miley Cyrus, Pink, Queen, Travis Barker, Mark Ronson, and Mötley Crüe were among the many artists that performed at Tuesday’s tribute performance.
The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will benefit charities in the UK chosen by the Hawkins family. Beneficiaries and further details will be announced shortly.

Kesha covered T. Rex’s “Children of the Revolution” at the first Taylor Hawkins tribute concert at London’s Wembley Stadium earlier this month. After hearing the news of Hawkins’ death in March, the “Praying” singer shared an Instagram photo of the rocker with the remark, “No words seem right.”
