Cornerback Expectations are high for J.C. Jackson’s first game after his ankle injury progress with the Los Angeles Chargers, and the team has decided to give him his prime time slot.
James Palmer of NFL Network states that Jackson will play for the Chargers against the Kansas City Chiefs in Thursday night’s AFC West matchup at GEHA Field Arrowhead Stadium at 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
Jackson is a game-time decision after being labeled as questionable with a surgically repaired ankle on Thursday. Still, he will play as the Bolts (1-0) try to upset the defending division champion Chiefs (1-0).
Jackson, one of the most anticipated free agent additions of the 2022 offseason, had ankle surgery on August 23. Jackson missed Los Angeles’ Week 1 win over the Las Vegas Raiders due to the procedure, but he’s back and ready to help slow down Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the explosive Kansas City offense.
After four years with the New England Patriots, Jackson signed a massive $82.5 million contract to join the Bolts. Ready to make his Chargers debut? He’s all set to play.
