Is Britney Spears Retiring From Music Industry?
Sources say that Britney Spears has no intention of returning to the stage once she is released from conservatorship. An insider has told that Spears has been pondering about retiring from the stage for some time.
Spears’ former manager Larry Rudolph, who had worked with the singer for 25 years until retiring in July, said that her wish to leave the stage was a significant factor in his decision to end their partnership. Rudolph stated before his resignation that he and Spears had not spoken in over two and a half years and that Spears had told him she wanted to “take an indefinite work vacation.”
It’s hardly shocking that she supposedly wants to retire from performing. Spears said that her father, Jamie Spears, regularly pushed her to act when she didn’t like to during the court struggle to end her conservatorship, which had lasted for 13 years.
Spears told the court in July that she was “forced” to perform in her 248-show Piece Of Me Las Vegas Residency by her father and that she was threatened with legal action if she did not participate in dance sessions.

The actress added, “When I said no to one dance step in rehearsals, it was as if I buried a gigantic bomb somewhere,” adding, “Ma’am, I’m not here to be anyone’s slave. I can say no to a dance move.”
In a July Instagram post, Spears announced her refusal to perform while her father was conservator of her estate and finances. She also claimed that her legal binds had “killed her dreams.”
Thankfully, on September 30, the judge ordered her father removed as conservator of her finances and estate with immediate effect.
When and if Spears decides to resume her concert career is entirely up to her. For the time being, we’re content to bask in the glory of her constant dancing Instagram images.
