When will Tokyo Revengers Season 2 be released? After storming across Spring 2021 and becoming one of the season’s top releases, when will Tokyo Revengers Season 2 be released?
Ken Wakui’s manga series began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and has expanded to 22 volumes.
Following the manga’s first release in 2017, the series has also spawned a live-action adaptation, which is now in development.
The series has an 8.25/10 rating on My Anime List and an 8.6/10 rating on IMDb. The anime adaptation’s first season is drawing to a close. However, there is more to this story than meets the eye. Tokyo Revengers has big plans for the future, and we’re here to keep you updated!
What are Tokyo Revengers About?
Tokyo Revengers performs an excellent job at fusing science fiction and high school misbehavior. As bizarre as it may sound, seminal works such as Akira were also a synthesis of these genres.
Tokyo Revengers is centered on Takemichi Hanagaki, a 26-year-old juvenile delinquent who seems to be a child. Many characters in the anime do; however, this is due to a twist. Takemichi has a small gang on which he can rely.
He realizes one day that his lone girlfriend and her sibling had been murdered. Takemichi dies minutes after discovering this but is miraculously transported back to his high school days.
He attempted to educate the public and avert Hinata’s death. Takemichi, now capable of time travel, utilizes his newfound talent to alter the course of history.
The anime’s first season consisted of 14 episodes, with the last installment set for July 11, 2021.
Based on other projects’ favorable reviews and announcements, Tokyo Revengers Season 2 is rumored to be in the works already. The manga’s volume 23 is also slated to be released on July 16, 2021.
The Plot of Tokyo Revengers Season 2
Tokyo Revengers Season 1 is planned to be released in a split-season format.
A split-course release entails the series being published in two sections of ten to fourteen episodes each. Attack on Titan: The Final Season and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Final Season is both excellent instances of a split-season release.
The planned film is based on the manga’s Bloody Halloween arc. A teaser for the upcoming release teases a confrontation between Valhalla and Tokyo Manji.
The anime’s first season will conclude in Volume 8. If the anime adaptation continues at its present rate, there will be enough source material left over for a Tokyo Revengers Season 2 adaptation and a Tokyo Revengers Season 3 adaptation.
Part 2 will conclude the Mobius Arc and begin the second half of the Valhalla Arc. Takemichi is transferred to 2017 after a series of showdowns when he realizes he is a Toman member.
Takemichi is now set up for an encounter with the Black Dragon following a dramatic encounter with Kisaki and some of his former allies.
Release Date for Tokyo Revengers Season 1 Part 2
On Halloween, Toyo Revengers Season 1 Part 2 is scheduled for release on October 31, 2021. In keeping with the Bloody Halloween moniker, the anime is likely to return with an additional ten to twelve episodes.
Because there are already 22 volumes in print with another on the way, Season 2 will likely take some time before fans can see the Black Dragon Arc, which Tokyo Revengers Season 2 is anticipated to cover.
Tokyo Revengers Season appears to be scheduled for release in Summer 2022, considering that a portion of the first season will begin towards the end of October.
Assuming the project concludes in January 2022, a late Summer – Autumn 2022 delivery window appears to be ideal. While the live-action feature for Tokyo Revengers is scheduled for July 11, 2021, there are reports that Season 2 filming began in May.
Season 1 will also be published in six-disc sets, according to the official Blu-ray/DVD website.
Apart from the first box set volume, which will contain four episodes, it has no other information on the overall amount of episodes. In other words, with six-disc volumes planned, the first season should consist of 24 episodes divided into two halves.
