Theodosia is a new fantasy adventure television series that is inspired by the Theodosia series of children’s novels written by Robin L. LaFevers.
The show just premiered on HBO Max and is set in 1906, and revolves around a 14-year-old fearless girl named Theodosia Throckmorton, she is a smart girl who is very much curious and interested in every such thing that is related to Ancient Egypt. The show is directed by Matthias Hoene, Alex Jacob, and Matt Bloom.
The brand new family-oriented show features Theo finding out about Egyptian curses and magic that aren’t just tales but actually a reality, and with this astonishing disclosure, she ends up pushing her and her friends into a fight with a mysterious society committed to ruining the world as it presently exists.

“Theodosia follows 14-year-old Theodosia Throckmorton, aka Theo, a smart, witty, supernaturally gifted teen girl who just wants to fit in and have a normal life. Theo’s life is anything but normal though.
The daughter of two intrepid Egyptologists excavating in the Valley of the Kings, Theo lives in the world-famous Museum of Legends and Antiquities in the heart of Edwardian London.
“When you live in a museum filled with cursed Egyptian artifacts, things can get weird and you just have to learn to roll with it. Theo, Henry, Will, and Safiya battle with ancient forces, dark magic, and comic chaos, all while trying to survive teenage life, get through school and save the world.”

An official trailer for the series was dropped by HBO Max. It features Theo finding out that ancient Egyptian magic is not a myth but real and that she has the capability of discovering that magic herself.
Though on digging up in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt, Theo along with Henry, fall wander off and pitch over an ancient object known as the Eye of Horus which has capabilities of contending with evil.
Unrecognized to her, her magical powers and their findings of an ancient object leads to pushing her and her friends into a dangerous situation.
