Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Dec. 26 at Star of David Memorial Chapels, 1236 Wellwood Rd., West Babylon.
Her husband Larry Tenenbaum, daughters Stacie Dubnoff and Allison Rosenzweig, brothers Rich and Steve Weinstein and four grandkids survive her.

Karen Tenenbaum was born on Sept. 4, 1959. She was the daughter of Shirley and Marty Weinstein. Karen graduated from Brooklyn College with her Bachelor of Science in Accounting, her Doctor of Law from Brooklyn Law School and her Master of Laws, Taxation from New York University Law School.
Before opening her own practice in 1996, she worked for a number of prestigious legal firms. Throughout her forty years as a lawyer, the Dix Hills resident has defended clients against a wide range of problems, including federal tax audits, appeals, collections and New York State litigation.
She was also active in a number of trade associations, frequently chaired talks on these subjects at business gatherings and was cited as a tax expert by the local press. She has held executive board positions in the Nassau Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, chaired the Tax Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association and chaired the Suffolk County Bar Association Tax Law Committee.
As a trailblazer in her area Tenenbaum has received numerous honors including being named one of the Power Women of Long Island by the Long Island Press, a number of awards from Long Island Business News and selection as a New York Super Lawyer in the field of tax law.
