When Did Kudela Make His First Team Debut?
Kudela made his first team debut in 2005 after progressing through Slovacko’s junior system. He relocated to Sparta Prague in 2007 after serving a half-year loan at Kladno.
He was signed by Mlada Boleslav in 2009 to take Jan Rajnoch’s place, who was leaving. With the exception of a half-year loan at Kazakh team Ordabasy in 2014, he spent eight seasons with the club.
He participated in both the Mlada Boleslav teams that won the 2010–11 and 2015–16 Czech Cups, being replaced in the eighth minute of the championship game.
Kudela signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Slovan Liberec in January 2017. He moved to Slavia Prague in 2018, not long after head coach Jindrich Trpisovsky took over. He won three league titles, three cups, and one Supercup with Slavia in all.
He signed with Persija Jakarta of Indonesian Liga 1 in June 2022. He made his league debut on July 23, 2022, starting in a 0-1 loss against Bali United.
What Notable Achievements Has Ondrej Kudela Earned?
Kudela’s career has witnessed notable accomplishments despite controversies casting a shadow over it. In 2020–21, he was named the Czech First League Defender of the Year; in 2022–23, he was a member of the Liga 1 Team of the Season. He also competed for the Czech Republic U-20 squad, which finished second in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2007.
