Her journey with cancer began when she received a diagnosis in March. After her diagnosis, her medical oncologist advised chemotherapy as a course of treatment after receiving her diagnosis. Ward later admitted that she didn’t think her care team was very knowledgeable. She said:
“My surgeon and the oncologist are one hundred per cent pimps. Not of women, of chemo. They love that h*e, I have never in my life seen such a strong and compelling sales pitch. They really should go into sales.”
But rather than receiving chemotherapy, Jessie Lee Ward made the decision to seek alternative, natural treatments, deviating from accepted medical wisdom.
She experimented with a variety of alternative therapies throughout her battle with cancer such as the usage of a biocharger machine, magnetic treatments, ozone treatments, red-light therapy, high doses of vitamin C and hyperbaric oxygen chambers. Regretfully, Jessie Lee Ward’s condition worsened more and she eventually lost her fight against colon cancer.
