What Happened on the Accident Night?
Reports said that Princess Diana died early on August 31, 1997 because she was hurt so badly in the crash. The Mercedes-Benz W140 was driven by Henri Paul and Dodi Fayed was with Diana. Both men were found dead inside the car.
Trevor Rees-Jones who was Dodi’s bodyguard was badly hurt in the crash, but he was the only person who made it out alive. You can see her last image from that night in a tweet provided below:

On the day of the accident, in the car, neither Princess Diana nor Dodi were wearing seat belts. Rees-Jones, who was sat in the passenger seat was said to be wearing one. The car went into the Pont de l’Alma tunnel at a very dangerously high speed around 12:25 a.m.
As soon as the car enters the tunnel from the westbound left lane, it loses control and hits the 13th concrete pillar that divides the tunnel. It then rolls over and hits the right wall. After that, it turns around. The car is facing east when it stops, which is the way it came from.
At the same time as the crash, a French doctor, Dr. Frederic Mailliez, was driving through the tunnel. When he saw the crash, he ran to the scene right away. He saw four people, two of the people didn’t seem to be alive because they weren’t moving or reacting but the other two, on the right, were still alive but in very bad condition.
One of the people in the front seat was screaming and breathing. He could wait a little while longer. And the girl passenger, a young woman was on her knees on the Mercedes floor with her head down. It was hard for her to breathe.
She needed help right away. He quickly went to his car, called 911 and got a breathing mask. She wasn’t awake. With the help of a breathing bag, she felt a little better, but she still couldn’t speak. Around 12:27 a.m., firefighters got a call for help.
At 12:40 a.m., police and firefighters came. When the police got there, they found that both the driver, Henri Paul and Dodi were dead. Afterward, witnesses said that paparazzi kept taking pictures and seven shooters were arrested at the scene.
Soldier Sergeant Xavier Gourmelon, who was at the scene said that Princess Diana’s last words were “My God, what’s happened?” Princess Diana had a heart attack when she was being taken out of the wreckage of the car.
First rescuers did CPR on her and took her to the hospital. The Princess and Rees-Jones got to the hospital around 2 a.m. Princess Diana died on August 31, 1997, around 4 a.m. in Paris. She was 36 years old.
Dr. Alain Pavie, who is in charge of heart at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, told the press at 6 a.m. that the Princess of Wales had died. Michael Jay, who is the British ambassador to France, was there.
He stated, “The death of the Princess of Wales fills us all with shock and deep grief.” You can know more about her accident in “Princess Diana Cause of Death: What was Revealed about Her Demise?“

I love Princess Diana no matter what. She was so graceful and beautiful. She had a right to date other men after Charles. Princess Diana should be queen today. I still think that Charles had something to do with her death and Queen Elizabeth covered it up. We will never know
