Ark: Survival Ascended might arrive sooner than expected. It’s the next version of 2017’s Ark: Survival Evolved, kind of like a mix of a remake, a remaster, and a new take on the old game.
In this game, you still have to survive by making weapons, gear, and homes to protect yourself from dinosaurs, mythical creatures, and other players who might not be friendly.
What makes it interesting is that you can tame some of the big creatures to help you out in your daily tasks or when raiding enemy bases. This article explores the release date, features, and what players can expect from this much-anticipated release on Xbox.
When Will Ark: Survival Evolved Available on Xbox?

You can buy and download it on Steam. It’s in early access and will stay that way until the end of 2024, aligning with the planned release of Ark 2. Both games should be fully available around the same time.
During its early access phase, Ark: Survival Ascended is missing some content, like game modes Survival of the Fittest, Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, and both parts of Genesis.
The six free expansions from Ark: Survival Evolved, including The Center, Ragnarok, Valguero, Crystal Isles, Lost Island, and Fjordur DLC, are also not included in the remake for now. However, this is temporary, and these features will likely be added gradually as they are fine-tuned during the early access period.

Ark: Survival Evolved Gameplay Changes
But it’s not just a fancy new look for the game—Ark: Survival Ascended has also made lots of changes to how you play. One big thing is cross-platform modding. In the past, if you played on a computer, you could use mods, but if you played on a different device, you couldn’t.
Now, thanks to the in-game mod browser CurseForge, everyone, no matter their device, can use mods. This is a pretty exciting change, especially for those who love customizing their gameplay.
In the upgraded version of Ark: Survival Ascended, dinosaurs, and animals are smarter. Before, they used to bump into walls or get stuck, but now they’re better at finding their way around and won’t be as clumsy in your camp.
However, wild predators are also improved and can chase players more effectively. In Ascended, tamed creatures and the humans taking care of them can be customized more than in the previous version, Evolved.
Ark: Survival Ascended got a big makeover for its user interface. The menus in the game look neater and can be customized by players. You can choose how you want the in-game information to appear, making it either more immersive or easier to navigate.
The map system is also new and lets players mark areas and set points of interest. Now, Ark: Survival Ascended even has split-screen local multiplayer, which people thought was taken out before. Ark: Survival Ascended has lots of little improvements that make the game better.
The sounds in the game are improved, the camera works better in third-person view, and they fixed and balanced lots of things like items and creatures. If you’re new, you might not notice these changes much, but for longtime players, they really improve the game.
