On April 4, 2023, in San Francisco, California, Cash App co-founder Bob Lee was fatally stabbed. The Rincon Hill area was the site of a stabbing around 2:35 a.m., according to the San Francisco Police Department. The 43-year-old businessman stayed an extra day in the area for work, according to his acquaintances.

Bob Lee began his work as a web developer after finishing his undergraduate studies. Redrock Communications was his first “real” employment, beginning in 1997. But he didn’t stay for more than a year and then moved on to other things. He stayed at his post at Southeast Missouri State University and D’Arcy for the next three years.
After then, from June 2000 till August 2001, he was employed at Capgemini. From August 2001 until August 2002, he was a consultant for Ajilon Consulting; from August 2002 until February 2003, he was an employee of OCI. During this time, he also provided freelance consulting services to both FiveSight Technologies and Plateau. After that, he worked for AT&T for just over a year in the role of Technical Architect. In January of 2010 Jack Dorsey, seeing Lee’s potential, appointed him as the Chief Technology Officer of Square Inc. He used the money he had saved up from his many jobs to make initial investments in several large businesses. He joined SV Angel’s investment team as a Limited Partner in July of 2014.
