Suzanne and Alan’s Real Estate Empire: From Palm Springs to Malibu
A beautiful mansion in Palm Springs that lies on 73 acres was once listed for $35 million by Suzanne and her husband Alan. This property has been theirs since the late 1970s. The cost was reduced by more than half to $14.5 million in 2018 and then again to just $9.5 million in 2019.
In 2020, the price as well as the acres were decreased. The land had been downsized to 20 acres at this point. They accepted $8.5 million in May 2021. Here is a tour of their previous Palm Springs home in video form:
Additionally, in the past they had 480 acres in northern Palm Springs which they gave to the Coachella Valley Conservation Commission in 2018. They invested $2.3 million in a Malibu seaside home in 1999.
For $2.35 million, they acquired the lot next door in 2001. They acquired a second property giving them an incredible 190 feet of ocean frontage. The houses were destroyed by fire in 2007. Instead of rebuilding, Suzanne and Alan decided to sell the two vacant lots in 2016 for $12.03 million.
The lots eventually saw the construction of an extravagant 5,000-square-foot home. The new residence was marketed for $40 million in late 2021. It still hasn’t sold as of the time of this writing, therefore the asking price has been lowered to slightly under $30 million.
