Dax Tejera Executive Producer of the ABC News flagship public affairs program “This Week” died in New York City on Friday, December 23. He was 37 years old at the time of death.
Where Was Dax Tejera Memorial Services Held?
Dax was laid to rest in Miami under the Tejera headstone after a service at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Coral Gables on January 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. On Friday, January 13, 2023, at 2 p.m., there was also a memorial service at Saint Thomas Church in Manhattan.

What is Dax Tejera’s Cause of Death?
Tejera died on Dec. 23, 2022, from a heart attack. ABC News President Kim Godwin said:
“Dax’s energy, passion and love for that show, ABC News and you shined every Sunday morning. That same love was extended to his precious girls.”
People who worked with Tejera shared their sadness on social media and paid respect to the well-liked newsman. Brian Stelter tweeted, “It’s with a heavy heart and great sadness that we share that our friend and colleague, Dax Tejera passed away.”

According to his LinkedIn profile, Tejera began working for ABC News in 2017 as a senior producer. In February 2020, she was given the opportunity to become the show’s executive producer.
Prior to that, he spent five years as a researcher, editor and producer at NBC. He also spent four years as the executive producer of “America with Jorge Ramos” on the Fusion Media Network. He earned a history bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth and then enrolled in Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism.
