Who is Walt Garrison’s Son?
Walt Garrison is the father of two sons Marty Garrison and Carl Ben Garrison. Marty is alive and still with us but Carl “Ben” Garrison, his other son died earlier this year.
Walt and Pam Garrison welcomed Ben into the world on January 2, 1974 in Dallas, Texas. After graduating from Plano High School, he attended the University of North Texas to obtain his degree in criminal justice. He was the sweetest and most compassionate person.
Ben loved listening to music. He loved playing bass guitar and attended Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp where he improved his talents. He also cherished traveling. Ben was always up for a good time, whether it was at the beach, in the wine region, or while four-wheeling in the mountains.

Walt Garrison’s first wife was Pamela Philips, whom he wed on June 30, 1967. On August 30, 1985, he filed for divorce. Less than a year later, on August 23, 1986, Walt Garrison got married to Debbie Garrison, his second wife.
Walt and Debbie Garrison met while competing in rodeos in the off-season when he also participated. After then, they lived a happy marriage for almost 20 years before getting divorced in 2005. At What Age Did Walter Benton Garrison Die?
Walter Benton Garrison was born on July 23, 1944 and at the time of death he was 79 years old. Garrison, who was raised in Denton, Texas attended the adjacent Lewisville High School. In football, he was a linebacker. He participated in baseball and basketball, too.
Garrison decided to play linebacker on defense after accepting a football scholarship from Oklahoma State University. In the only two games the freshman squad played that season against Arkansas in Stillwater and Oklahoma in Norman.
He began attending school in the fall of 1962. Even though Garrison hadn’t played running back in high school, Phil Cutchin, the team’s new head coach switched him to the position in the spring of 1963.
Despite being a backup, Garrison concluded his sophomore year with 387 running yards placing him eighth in the Big Eight Conference and just twelve yards behind the team’s leading rusher, George Thomas. He outpaced Jim Grisham and Gale Sayers in the Big Eight Conference in 1964 as a junior with 730 rushing yards.
He also amassed 83 receiving yards and 5 rushing touchdowns. With 924 running yards, 107 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns, Garrison finished his senior year. Only 13 yards separated him from Missouri’s Charlie Brown for second place in the Big Eight Conference in terms of rushing yards.
In a game against the unbeaten University of Nebraska, he carried the ball 19 times for 121 rushing yards. He gained 173 yards on the ground against Kansas and contributed to the Cowboys’ first victory against Oklahoma in 20 years. He made great efforts to reach at this stage.
