Gianna Bryant is the daughter of Kobe and Vanessa Bryant. She passed away with her father in 2020 and in this post, you’ll know more about her passing as well as the results of her autopsy.
How Did Gianna Bryant Die?
When Kobe Gianna died suddenly in 2020, it was a very sad time. A young talent was taken from the world. She died in a terrible crash along with her father Kobe and seven other people, including the pilot. You can see the video which is related to the crash.
John and Keri Altobelli and their daughter Alyssa, Sarah Chester and her daughter Payton and Christina Mauser were also in a helicopter that crashed. They were all going to The Mamba Sports Academy.
Ara Zobayan, the plane’s pilot told the air traffic manager that he would try to fly high because it was hard for planes to fly low through the mountains. But the helicopter had trouble getting up to 1,500 feet and the bad weather made it hard for the pilot to handle the helicopter. As a result, the helicopter crashed in Calabasas.
What Was Found in Gianna Bryant’s Autopsy Report?
On Monday, January 28, 2020, the autopsy report for Kobe Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna was made public. The study found that Gianna died on January 26, 2020, because of blunt force injuries to her head and neck.
Her father and seven other people died in the same helicopter crash. The study also said that Gianna did not have any drugs or alcohol in her body when she died. Her injuries were so bad that her body could not be recognized.
Due to the force of the crash, her spine went through her head and brain matter was lost. A lot of damage was also done to her foot, shin and lower belly. The photos of Gigi Bryant and his father Kobe Bryant autopsies went viral.
When the autopsy report and helicopter crash images of Kobe Bryant and Gigi Bryant went public, there was a lot of backlash on social media. Vanessa Bryant took Los Angeles County to court at this point. But the case was solved.
What is the Settlement of Vanessa Bryant Lawsuit?
According to reports, Vanessa has settled her case against Los Angeles County because the county’s fire department and sheriff’s office published images of the crash site that claimed the lives of her husband and daughter Gianna.
Vanessa Bryant will receive $28.85 million as part of a settlement in the legal dispute over the images. Look at the tweet below that depicts the settlement:

Vanessa received $15 million in federal court, as reported by the jury (it was supposed to be $16 million, but the jury determined there had been an error), but L.A. County’s obligation continued after that. The new agreement will see Bryant’s children join him as plaintiffs and receive a portion of the settlement he has already obtained.
Luis Li, Vanessa’s attorney declared. “We hope her victory at trial and this settlement will put an end to this practice.”
Vanessa’s lawyer Luis Li of @WilsonSonsini:
“She fought for her husband, her daughter, and all those in the community whose deceased family were treated with similar disrespect. We hope her victory at trial and this settlement will put an end to this practice.” #Kobe pic.twitter.com/n3D6dTcory
