Sarah Gelish was well-liked in the New Fairfield neighbourhood after serving as a school psychologist at Meeting House Hill School. She was also a Ph.D. candidate in educational leadership at Fairfield University and served as president of the Connecticut Association of School Psychologists (CASP).
She was highly recognized by both her coworkers and pupils, who described her as a kind and devoted professional. But she passed away at the young age of 32 and in this article, we’ll know more about her passing.
Sarah Gelish Obituary: An Enduring Tribute to School Psychologist
The death of Sarah Gelish, a 32-year-old psychologist who died on February 13th, 2023, is currently being mourned by the people of New Fairfield. Nevertheless, the main reason for her death has not been confirmed.
Her family has not revealed any information regarding the circumstances of her death. She was the wife of Andrew and the mother of their beautiful daughter Ava. There is a GoFundMe page set up to support Sarah’s family during this trying time.
Through her many roles on the CASP board and as a school psychologist at New Fairfield Public Schools, Sarah has spent the better part of the last nine years fighting for kids, families and school communities throughout the state of Connecticut.
Sarah, a Fairfield University alumna who studied school psychology has been an important member of the CASP board since 2014 when she took on the position of alumna Student Liaison for Fairfield University.

Sarah was known for her extraordinary beauty and kindness. She was a kind person who was always prepared to offer assistance to people in need. Sarah emphasized giving kids the tools and abilities they need to succeed in both academic and social environments.
She was determined to assist them in overcoming these challenges so they may reach their full potential despite her awareness of the particular challenges that many pupils encounter.
