The TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart, a new weekly chart that will track the most popular songs on the site in the United States was unveiled by TikTok and Billboard on Thursday, September 14. All American TikTok users get access to the chart.

Each week, the chart will rank the most popular songs on the platform based on user engagement, views and the amount of videos that have been created with those songs as the background music.
Users can either use the TikTok app or the Billboard website to view the Top 50 Chart. Every Thursday morning, it will be updated. Only U.S. trending tracks will be monitored by TikTok and Billboard.
Which Songs Are on Top of the Chart Right Now?
The top song on the chart right now is “SkeeYee” by S*xyy Red, followed by “Paint The Town Red” by Doja Cat and “August” by Taylor Swift. You can see the full list in a post provided below:

The new ranking highlights the influence that the platform still has on the music business having assisted a number of up-and-coming musicians in becoming internet sensations like Lil Nas X, Tai Verdes, Benee and Loren Gray, among others. Additionally, TikTok increased awareness of earlier songs like Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill.”

Along with the top three contemporary songs on the new chart, the 1982 Hot 100 top five hit “Let It Whip” by the Dazz Band, along with songs by Tim McGraw and Zach Bryan from the country genre, Charlie Wilson from R&B, and Pinegrove from the emo band also make up the top 10 of the first TikTok Billboard Top 50.

Songs from other websites as Twitter are also tracked by Billboard. Olivia Rodrigo now has the top three slots on the Hot Trending Tracks chart with her most recent tracks, “The Grudge,” “Pretty Isn’t Pretty,” and “Logical.” Similar charts for Myspace were previously published by the music magazine.
