Latvian tennis prodigy Jelena Ostapenko. She peaked at No. 5 in the world in mates on the WTA rankings on March 19, 2018, and at No. 9 in doubles on August 22, 2022. She became the first player from Latvia to win a Grand Slam singles event, as well as the first unseeded player to win the French Open since 1933 when Margaret Court won the tournament.
She has also competed for Latvia in the Fed Cup team in addition to her solo career. Arthurs Karasausks is the man Ostapenko is seeing at the moment. They are not married yet. Jelena wants to keep their relationship private. Riga’s Arthurs Karasausks plays football professionally. He entered the world on January 29, 1992. He’s a forward for Riga FC in the Latvian Higher League football team. Karaausks played for the JFC Skonto Academy when he was younger. He signed with JFK Olimps/ RFS in the Latvian Advanced League in January 2009, when he was just 17 years old.
On 11 June 2009, at the age of 17 years, 4 months, and 17 days, he scored his debut goal for the club in a 1-1 league draw against SK Blzma. After her victory in the junior Wimbledon Championships singles competition in September 2014, Ostapenko was ranked as the world’s number two best junior tennis player. With the wildcard she received, she made her WTA Tour main draw debut at the Tashkent Open.
Ostapenko was able to compete in the Ladies Neva Cup and ultimately win the tournament. Ostapenko upset ninth-seeded Carla Suárez Navarro in the first round of Wimbledon, winning in straight sets before losing to eventual champion Kristina Mladenovic.

At the Qatar Open, a Premier 5 tournament in Doha, she advanced to the final by beating Petra Kvitová, the eighth-ranked woman in the world. She lost the finals to Carla Suárez Navarro, but nevertheless rose to number 41 in the world.
For the first time in her career, Ostapenko was a top seed in the women’s singles draw at a Grand Slam tournament, but she lost in the first round to Naomi Osaka at the French Open. She beat Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in straight sets in the first round of the Birmingham Classic, then she beat Petra Kvitova, a two-time Wimbledon champion, in the second round.
