Kate Hannan is the wife of F. MURRAY Abraham and they have remained together for 60 years. The White Lotus actor was left to mourn his late wife when she passed away at the age of 82 after many years of marriage.
Family and friends who knew Kate describe her as extraordinarily courageous, fiercely loyal and always honest. In an interview, actor F. Murray Abraham asked how is he adjusting to the death of his wife of more than 60 years.

The Moon Knight star said of his wife:
“She was loved by a wide circle of people, some of whom knew her only briefly and many for decades. She was an inspirational woman who embodied dignity and grace throughout her life. Kate was stubborn, funny, loving, and feisty until the end. She’s been a rock to me. She put up with my tirades and my anger and my…All that crap we put ourselves through.”
When did Kate Hannan Die?
Kate succumbed to multiple sclerosis on November 19, 2022, and passed away peacefully in her New York City home. Murray acknowledged that after her death, he found it challenging to play serious roles.
In an interview, he said that Kate’s passing inspired him to play humorous roles on “The White Lotus season 2” such as Bert Di Grasso.
He told:
“Yeah, I’m still trying to adjust to it. There is a play that I was going to do for theater for a new audience called The Chairs and I had been planning to do it for some time. I had to tell my producer friend Jeffrey that I couldn’t do the play. I had to cancel because at the end of the play, the husband and wife die.”
“I didn’t think I could possibly face that play killing myself at the end of each performance. So I canceled out of it. It’s affected my life. Absolutely. And I’ve decided the only thing I can do now is to do comedy just to keep myself off the ground.”
F. Murray Abraham married Kate Hannan on April 7, 1962. When the Oscar winner relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career, he first met Kate. A son named Mick and a girl named Jamili were the couple’s subsequent children.
