Remember how everyone went crazy when Ryan Gosling’s Ken in the Barbie movie was spotted wearing an outfit eerily similar to Jimin’s from BTS’s chart-topping song “Permission To Dance” (PTD)? Since Ryan’s film The Notebook is one of Jimin’s all-time favorites, ARMY has talked endlessly about this coincidence, but Ryan has only just now responded to this eerie coincidence.
The celebrity has said as much and he plans to give Jimin Ken’s guitar as a gift. Learn more here.
Ryan Gosling Gifts Guitar to BTS’ Jimin
Jimin (aka Park Jimin) wears a black shirt in the music video for the smash single “Permission to Dance” that is embroidered with white tassel fringes on the chest and sleeves, elaborate white flower embroidery, front button closures, and full-length sleeves. Ryan Gosling plays Ken in the film adaptation of Barbie.
The H Bar C label produces this item, which makes a statement in a Western/rodeo aesthetic. One of the Barbie movie previews had the exact same clothing. While Jimin accessorized his outfit with a side-parted haircut, black denim jeans with slits up the legs, boots, a stack of bracelets, hoop earrings, ear cuffs, rings, and a few other accessories.
Ryan paired the shirt with a stunning blonde hairdo, a white cowboy hat, a black leather belt with a gold buckle, a printed pink neck scarf, white boots, and a white pair of jeans.
Barbie movie’s official Instagram page shared a video of Ryan with the caption-
“Had to give Jimin this (guitar) for his KEN-RGY! (*previously recorded*).” In the video, he said, “Hi Jimin, it’s Ryan Gosling here. I notice that your ‘Permission to Dance’ outfit is the same as my Ken outfit in the upcoming movie Barbie. I have to give it to you — you wore it first.”

If you eat another Ken’s style, you have to offer them your most precious property, he said, and you wore it better than anyone else. Please accept Ken’s guitar as my sincere thanks. It’ll be in better hands with you than Ken’s, who doesn’t play much.
Western-rodeo style statement shirt with white tassel fringes on the sleeves and torso, detailed white floral embroidery, front button closures, and full-length sleeves; worn by Jimin (aka Park Jimin) in BTS’s Permission To Dance music video and by Ryan Gosling as Ken in the Barbie trailer, respectively.
Jimin accessorized the look with a side part and a plethora of jewelry, including a plethora of bracelets, hoop earrings, ear cuffs, and rings. Ryan, on the other hand, paired his shirt with a white cowboy hat, a black leather belt with a gold buckle, a printed pink neck scarf, white boots, and a stunning blonde hairdo.
Not only is this video important for fans of Barbie and BTS, but Jimin is also well-known to be a lover of the Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams film The Notebook, therefore it holds a special place in his heart.
Meanwhile, Jimin has released the first two parts of his solo album, Face and Angel, from the movie Fast X. Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu, and others, is the first Barbie film to be presented in live action. On July 21st, the film will open in theaters around the world.
