The only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, singer-songwriter Lisa Marie passed away on January 12 after being brought to the hospital for what might have been a heart arrest. After her death, Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated.

What is Lisa Marie Presley’s Cause of Death?
Her blood contained therapeutic doses of oxycodone. Buprenorphine, a second opioid that is used to treat opioid overuse was discovered in her body. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner reported that the 54-year-old celebrity “Lisa Marie” died from sequelae of small bowel obstruction.

Deputy Medical Examiner Dr. Juan Carrillo states, “This is a known long-term complication of this type of surgery.” The bowel obstruction, which manifested as a strangulated small bowel was brought on by an adhesion that formed years ago during bariatric surgery (gastric bypass).
When she was taken by ambulance to the hospital, the coroner reports that neither drμg paraphernalia nor other product were discovered at her residence. Lisa Marie experienced a heart arrest while at the hospital. A toxicology test of her urine came up negative.
A few months before her passing, Lisa Marie underwent a cosmetic operation for which she was prescribed opioids.
Her doctor noted that she had a history of “overmedicating” and was prone to forgetting when she had taken her medications and frequently did so. According to the study, Lisa Marie had a history of drμg and alcóhol misuse.
