What’s The Retirement Plan’s Story?
In the movie “The Retirement Plan” Ashley (Ashley Greene) asks her estranged father Matt (Nicolas Cage), a retired beach bum for assistance when she and her young daughter Sarah (Thalia Campbell) become involved in a criminal business that threatens their lives.
Their reunion is brief because crime leader Donnie (Jackie Earle Haley) and his lieutenant (Ron Perlman) quickly track them down. Matt is not the crazy character he seems to be, so the bad guys get more than they bargained for.
When they find themselves caught up in a criminal operation that puts their lives in danger, Ashley and her little daughter Sarah are forced to ask Matt, Ashley’s estranged father for assistance.
When they find him, he is residing in the Cayman Islands as a retired beach bum, but they are quickly apprehended by the criminal lord Donnie and his lieutenant Bobo. Ashley learns Matt has a hidden past she was unaware of the more time she spends with him.
