Quentin Halys’ Winning Streak in Challenger Tournaments
Halys entered his first Grand Slam tournament as a wild card in the 2015 French Open. He also won a match against Ivan Dodig in the main draw of the 2016 Australian Open after receiving a wildcard entry. He was eliminated in the second round by eventual champion Novak Djokovic, the tournament’s top seed.
At the 2016 French Open, he beat Chung Hyeon in the first round as a wildcard player for his second Major victory and first on clay. Expect a Masters and top-70 debut in 2022, as well as a first US Open appearance in 2021. At the 2021 Australian Open, he qualified for the main draw for the third time.
Halys also broke through to the second round for the first time in five attempts at the 2021 US Open. Dominik Koepfer eliminated him in the first round in five sets.
