Warner Bros. hurried The Flash into CinemaCon, where it was seen to theater owners nearly two months before its June 16 release.
Warners made The Flash the day’s final presentation picture, with Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav proclaiming, “It’s the best superhero movie I’ve ever seen.” The film has now become the talk of the convention. (The manager has seen it thrice.)
Peter Safran, co-head of DC Studios, and director Andy Muschietti, who stated, “I discovered they are an incredible comedian and also [handled] all the action required for a big spectacle like this,” gushed over actor Ezra Miller before the screening. I let them do all the dangerous stuff because they insisted on it.
Miller plays both Barry Allen and Wally West, and Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck play Batman and The Dark Knight, respectively. Supergirl is played by Sashe Calle, and Michael Shannon is back in his Man of Steel role as General Zod.
After a rocky 2022 in which Miller was detained many times and the target of scandals, the actor finally issued an apology statement on August 15 and said they will seek treatment for “complex mental health issues.”
To reporters in January, Safran said, “Ezra is completely committed to their recovery.” This suggests that the actor may return to the part in the future. We wholeheartedly endorse the path they are currently traveling. We will figure out the best way forward together when the moment is right and they are willing to have that conversation.

CinemaCon attendees and observers agree: Warners is hoping to deflect attention from Miller’s background and onto The Flash by screening the film early at the convention.

DC’s #TheFlash is TREMENDOUS! Forget DC, it is without a doubt among the best superhero films ever made. An all-timer. Inventive storytelling, FANTASTIC action sequences, great cast. SO MANY nerdy details. I’m in tears at the end. Everything you want from a superhero film & more pic.twitter.com/xYSn0zuXMm

THE FLASH: far more madcap than I expected. Really nailed what reading a 5-issue crossover comic book is like. Tons of Ezra Miller being zany and time paradox stuff. Nerds will lose their minds at the ending. And beginning and middle. Comics!

Yup. #TheFlash is as good as rumored. It’s Back to the Future meets Spider-Man: No Way Home with all the humor & heart of the former and action and surprises of the latter. If anything, it might be a tad too ambitious but it’s also just incredibly satisfying, heartwarming & fun. pic.twitter.com/Yysb9mjiAm

I just watched #TheFlash and it’s the most vibrant superhero film I have ever seen! The colors are impeccable and the action is such a thrill. Ezra Miller leads with depth! @MichaelKeaton is superb as Batman again! @SashaCalle captivates with grace as Supergirl! A brilliant film.
