A murdeɼ-suἰcide has been alleged to have taken place this morning, April 6, 2023 in the parking lot of a Chick-fil-A in Rome, Georgia. Before 7 a.m., the Rome Police Department was notified of a disturbance outside Truett’s Chick-fil-A on Sh0rter Ave, according to a statement by People.
Anthony Wayne was recognized as the alleged gunm@n, while Cassie Lashae Davis was listed as the victim. The couple was described as being in a “domestἰc relationship” in the police report. Police said:
“The suspect sh0t the victim while she was inside her vehicle. The suspect then sh0t himself, the cr!me was not related to Chick-fil-A but rather occurred on the property of the restaurant.”
Cassie Davis was sh0t three times with a h@ndgun, according to Deputy Coroner Chris Giles’s statement to the Rome News-Tribune. An on-site spokesperson expressed sympathy to the victims’ families and described the event as tragic in an interview.
Kathie Walters her mother said:
“She didn’t have a mean bone in her b0dy, She was everybody’s friend. We lost a very sweet lady, She was a good mother of seven.”
Davis’s mother is still processing the news. She told FOX 5 she was shocked when her ex-boyfriend, whom the family believes was envious, sh0t and kἰlled her daughter. The sh00ting appears to have been a murdeɼ-suἰcide, according to Rome police.
