Alexandra Ducsay was a systems bank analyst and aspiring actress and dancer who lived in Milford, Connecticut. She attended Albertus Magnus, founded a nonprofit that delivered holiday gifts to underprivileged schools and even appeared on an episode of the highly-rated TV show Law & Order.
The actress, who was 26 years old at the time of her dea†h in May 19, 2006, was discovered by her distraught mother in the basement of their Milford house. When police arrived, they found a tidy home with everything in its place other than one of her dance awards, which was later determined to be the murd*r we@pon.
There was a lot of bl00d spatter and stains on the walls and the carpet when Ducsay’s b0dy was found on the basement floor. Next to her b0dy, police discovered a tiny bit of plastic and a knife bl@de and on her cheek, they discovered a piece of black vinyl tape an inch and a half broad.
There were obvious traces of a struggle at the scene, including a knocked-over chair and duct tape on Ducsay’s lips. Her upper body was found to have “sharp and blunt force injuries,” as was later confirmed by an autopsy.
Who is Responsible for the Murd*r of Alexandra Ducsay?
There are rumors that the actress dated Pugh when she was 16 but that the relationship ended when Pugh was incarcerated for drug charges. While he was behind bars, the two wrote letters back and forth until he began making threats and tormenting her.
Even after he was released from jail, he was still subjected to constant h@rassment. The murd*r investigation into 26-year-old Alexandra Ducsay stayed cold until January 2012, when a witness said that murd*r suspect Matthew Pugh had told him of his plans to k!ll Ducsay.
According to the sources, Pugh was once obsessed with Ducsay to the point of wanting to k!ll her as revenge for the difficulty she caused him when he sent her threatening letters from prison.
Witnesses told detectives looking into the dea†h of Alexandra Ducsay that they saw several vehicles parked in front of her house on the day she was k!lled.
Before the murd*r, she had gone to the gym with a good friend and then returned home to prepare for a date with her coworker at the local bank, Jason Malone. After initially meeting at work, the couple started dating for a few weeks.
Malone told police that he had been talking to Ducsay shortly after noon when she suddenly ended the call and asked, “What are you doing here?” The 26-year-old had been with her ex-boyfriend at the time. Ducsay’s ex-boyfriend, Matthew Pugh, had a lengthy criminal past.
Matthew Pugh, Ducsay’s ex-boyfriend was arrested and charged with her murd*r six years after the incident thanks to a piece of rare black vinyl tape found clinging to the victim’s cheek, among other pieces of evidence and witness accounts.
Pugh was incarcerated for drug-related cr!mes, which led to their breakup and subsequent h@rassment of the actress. ID’s A Time to K!ll returned this week with a look back at the brutal murd*r of Alexandra Ducsay. According to the preview, a program focused on:
“An enraged k!ller strikes down 26-year-old Alexandra Ducsay, an aspiring entertainer with a big heart and a blossoming career; slain inside her family’s Connecticut home, her attacker uses her own dance trophy to bludgeon her to dea†h.”
