Timothy Rhys White was born on March 25th, 1954 in Cumberland, Rhode Island, Tim White is his given name. White got his start in the business at an early age, following a lifelong dream of being a professional wrestling referee.
In 1985, he began officiating matches on the side and eventually became Andre The Giant’s assistant. But after Andre passed away in 1993, White took over the role permanently, and his star quickly rose.

Tim White, a former referee for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) passed away at the age of 68. Several of the most important events in WWE history were refereed by White including the Hell in a Cell Match between the Undertaker and Mankind at King of the Ring 1998.
After eleven years in the role, his career was cut short by a shoulder injury suffered on Judgement Day, 2002, during a Hell in a Cell match between Triple H and Chris Jericho.

White returned to action at WrestleMania XX two years later during the Jericho and Christian bout, but he re-injured his shoulder in the last three counts.
His extensive career in the ring came to an end as a result of this. White continued to work for WWE as an official and talent agent after his officiating career ended, the company reported.
White owned a bar in Cumberland, Rhode Island called The Friendly Tap and he was videotaped there for a controversial episode of a TV and web series chronicling his life after officiating. White appeared sad in a comedy from 2005 as he was interviewed by SmackDown host John Matthews.
He was caught on camera drinking heavily and claiming that the 2002 game was the worst day of his life. It was then that White, in a particularly tone-deaf moment, pulled a sh0tgun from his pocket and pretended to sh00t himself.

According to reports, White passed away on June 19, 2022, from health complications. According to WWE, “Tim White was a committed WWE referee and official for more than two decades.” Social media flooded with tributes to White as WWE confirmed his dea†h.
