The last season of Picard, which will inevitably involve a reunion with the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation, will pit the classic Star Trek villains against the old Star Trek heroes. It would seem that Beverly Crusher, Picard’s ex-lover and former chief medical officer, has called for help to kick off the season’s tale, but there are also galactic stakes at play.
Season 3 will see the return of Picard regulars Patrick Stewart, Jeri Ryan, and Michelle Hurd, while Brent Spiner will play Lore, a twisted prototype of Next Generation’s robotic officer, Data, marking his fourth distinct character in the show’s history. All the regulars from TNG are back, including LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden and Marina Sirtis, and Pulp Fiction’s Amanda Plummer plays a mysterious new adversary named Vadic. The trailer shows that Ed Speleers and Todd Stashwick will also be appearing in the film.

Furthermore, and this is crazy, Daniel Davis is reprising his role as Professor Moriarty after a gap of three decades and two Star Trek appearances. Do you remember that time when Geordie accidentally made a sentient hologram of his made-up character? Moriarty, you nasty piece of work. The third season of Picard, which will air on Paramount Plus starting on February 16, will consist of 10 episodes.
