According to research, Netflix has decided to pull the plug on “Uncoupled” after only one season. Eight episodes of the Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman comedy series premiered on the streaming service on July 29, 2022.
Starring in the role of Michael Lawson on the show was Neil Patrick Harris. “Michael thought his life was perfect until his partner blindsided him by walking out the door after 17 years,” reads the official logline for the series. Michael’s nightmares have doubled overnight: he’s lost the person he thought was his soulmate, and now he’s a gay guy in his mid-forties and living alone in New York City.
Aside from Harris, the show also starred Tuc Watkins, Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Emerson Brooks and Marcia Gay Harden. Starr, Richman and Harris, in addition to Lilly Burns, were the show’s executive producers. Production companies Darren Star Productions, Jeffrey Richman Productions and Jax Media join MTV Entertainment Studios in bringing this to life.

The first season of “Uncoupled” has a 73% critical acceptance rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 75% audience approval rating, both of which are quite high. However, the series only lasted one week in the Netflix Top 10 chart after it debuted at number six, suggesting that it failed to make a substantial impact on viewership.
Even though Netflix decided to pull the plug on “Uncoupled,” Starr is still actively working with the streaming service. For the streaming service, he is responsible for the critically acclaimed series “Emily in Paris,” the third season of which premiered in December. A fourth season has been ordered.
Conclusion
There will be no Uncoupled season 2 as it has been officially canceled by Netflix after it’s 1st season. Keep following venturejolt.com for more updates. Don’t forget to bookmark our site for the latest updates on tv shows and movies.
