The Big 4: It’s not often that law enforcement partners up with those they’re sworn to punish. The new Indonesian action-comedy The Big 4 will center on just that dynamic. The film’s release date of December 15 is rapidly approaching, and Netflix has just released the trailer, which promises an exciting journey toward meting out justice to a murdering criminal.
The preview introduces us to four assassins, each of whom has a distinct function in the team. Every group needs a leader, and every group needs bait, a badass and a sniper. They appear to be an unstoppable force as a group, one that gets things done while making quite a spectacle of themselves. The Mentor is the one who keeps the ship afloat.

The trailer quickly turns grim as we learn that a police officer’s father has been murdered shortly after the opening credits. Dina is crushed, but when she comes to, she sets off in search of those who can bring her father’s killer to justice. Because of what she learns, her entire worldview shifts.
First, she went to the Paranais Villa, where the receptionist was not particularly helpful. Dina discovers throughout her inquiry that her father was The Mentor, leader of the film’s eponymous assassination squad. His murder was supposedly “on the job,” and now her persecutors are after her.
Although they have laid down their weapons and retired, for the time being, the Big Four will soon return to aid Dina in her pursuit of vengeance. The scorpion of South and Southeast Asia is the object of their combined anger. When the two sides face up, bloodshed is inevitable, but it’s crucial to keep in mind that sometimes it takes a criminal to catch a criminal.
Action choreography, gun and knife fights, and battle cries are all there in The Big 4, but the picture also features an overarching comedic dimension. This is only the streaming giant’s second Indonesian original film this year, and it was shot entirely in Indonesia.

Big 4 Plot and Cast
The Big 4, an Indonesian action comedy that will debut on the streaming platform in a few days, follows four hitmen who hang up their swords but must return to the game when they meet a good police officer on a quest to apprehend a horrible monster who constantly escapes. “A by-the-book investigator investigates the death of her father and follows a trail to a distant tropical island, only to find out his true identity as a leader of a bunch of assassins,” according to the movie’s official synopsis. She must team up with the gangsters her father trained—four retired, down-on-their-luck assassins itching to go back into the game—to escape his adversaries.
The trailer down below reveals that there are four killers working together and that they all have distinct jobs to do. The Leader, Bait, Badass, Sniper, and so on are just a few of the roles that can be played. They’ve come across as an unstoppable force that not only gets things done but also causes a big ruckus. The Guide is the glue that keeps everyone together. Timo Tjahjanto, the director of The Big 4, also co-wrote the script for the film with Johanna Wattimena. Abimana Aryasatya, Putri Marino, Arie Kriting, Kristo Immanuel, Marthino Lio, Michelle Tahalea, Budi Ros, Donny Damara and Lutesha are all featured in the film.
