Despite Greene’s claims to the contrary, photos of the Georgia Republican representative appearing at a conference for white nationalist Nick Fuentes surfaced on Twitter again on Tuesday, prompting Greene to denounce Fuentes’ worldview.
At the America First Political Action Conference hosted by Fuentes in February, Greene and Arizona Republican Representative Paul Gosar both gave speeches. Greene addressed the crowd’s lives, while Gosar recorded a video welcome message that was played. It was reported that Greene defended her attendance by saying that she was unaware of the event’s organizers or their aims.
On Tuesday, after House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy claimed that the Georgia representative had denounced the far-right speaker in the past, CNN White House Correspondent Laura Barron-Lopez tweeted about Greene’s association with Fuentes.
According to Barron-Lopez, there is no public evidence Greene denounced Fuentes. When asked about her participation in his white nationalist conference, she said, I had no idea he held such controversial views. After Barron-Lopez tweeted about Fuentes, Greene said that she, too, strongly rejects his racist anti-semitic ideology.
It’s beyond me why the media is so fixated on him, Greene remarked. Greene has a history of attacking Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar and last year when fellow Republican Lauren Boebert apologized for attacking Omar, Greene tweeted an Islamophobic message.
Marjorie Greene said she Condemns Nick Fuentes’ anti-Semitic views
Marjorie Taylor Greene‘s tweet on Tuesday that she of course denounces Nick Fuentes and his racists anti-semitic ideology prompted a strong reaction online. Kevin McCarthy, the leader of the Republican Party in the House, was questioned by reporters earlier on Tuesday about the ties that some members of his conference have to Fuentes.
The neo-Nazi who made headlines last week by dining with former President Donald Trump. Greene responded to this tweet. McCarthy was questioned about Greene and other Republicans in the House who have ties to Fuentes. She denounced him, he said, Barron-Lopez tweeted, adding: Nick Fuentes and his racist, anti-Semitic ideology, Greene retorted.
In February of this year, Greene addressed the white nationalist America First Political Action Conference organized by Fuentes. Fuentes introduced Greene on stage while leading the audience in a chant of “Putin! Putin! before bringing up the congresswoman.
Greene said, “I do not know Nick Fuentes”. He has never spoken to me before. I’ve never watched a film before. I don’t know what his views are, so I’m not aligned with anything that may be controversial. What I can say is that I attended his event last night and spoke to his massive audience of young people. She continued, I am very worried about this generation because it is so young.
Without holding back, Twitter users reminded Greene said she condemns Nick Fuentes‘ antisemitic views.
Marjorie Greene said she "condemns" Nick Fuentes' antiSemitic views. In a tweet prior, Greene spread an antiSemitic lie about George Soros "funding" left wing activists. Soros is a Jewish philanthropist who escaped the Holocaust. Greene also spoke at a Fuentes rally in February.

Nick Fuentes is criticized by McCarthy, but the senator claims Trump didn’t know who he was
When it was revealed that former President Trump had dined with white nationalist figure Nick Fuentes and rapper Ye at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida last week, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy issued a condemnation of Fuentes.
However, McCarthy did not blame Trump for anything. McCarthy told reporters Tuesday after meeting with other top congressional leaders and President Biden, “I don’t think anybody should be spending any time with Nick Fuentes.” A member of the Republican Party, he is not welcome here.
McCarthy claims that President Trump has publicly condemned the individual four times despite being unaware of who he is. A reporter pointed out that Trump didn’t criticize Fuentes’ ideology. That said, I strongly disagree with his political outlook. McCarthy emphasized that this sort of behavior has absolutely no place in modern society.
McCarthy was asked about Trump’s dinner attendance with Ye, formerly Kanye West who has also made antisemitic remarks, to which he replied, So he knew who Kanye West is, he didn’t know who Fuentes is. After the dinner, Trump issued a statement saying he was trying to help West and that he had no idea who Fuentes was. He also called West a seriously troubled man.
McCarthy was also questioned about the ties of members of the House Republican Conference to Fuentes such as Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene who was a featured speaker at one of Fuentes’ events earlier this year. After her speech, Greene said that she did not feel an alignment with Fuentes’ views, but that the purpose of her speech was to talk about getting everyone together to save our country.
Many GOP officials have criticized Fuentes for his actions at the dinner but Republicans have placed varying degrees of the blame on Trump. On Sunday, Rep. James Comer who is expected to become chair of the House Oversight and Reform Committee in the coming year said that Trump needs better judgment in who he dines with.
