Her breakout appearances in Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory and Ridiculousness on MTV propelled her to stardom.
Chanel Early Life
Chanel’s parents brought her into the world in California Los Angeles. Chanel’s childhood was split between North Hollywood with her mom (“Penny Porsche”) and New York City with her dad, New York DJ Jamie Dudley, who took her to nightclubs. Chanel began her musical training at a young age.
She started listening to rap music at eleven and rapping herself at fourteen, citing “How Do U Want It” by Tupac Shakur as her inspiration. Her Jewish ancestry originates from her Russian father. Chanel’s Career in Television
In 2008, Chanel was connected to TV star Rob Dyrdek through common acquaintances. Shortly after, Dyrdek offered Chanel a job as his receptionist while he was featured on the MTV reality show Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. Later, MTV decided to bring the show back for a second season. The show’s third season premiered with twelve episodes, while the fourth season also kicked off that year.
In the same year, Chanel’s first acting role was as Sheila on an MTV episode of The Hard Times of RJ Berger. Later, she joined the cast of the MTV show Ridiculousness, where she, West Coast, and hosts Rob Dyrdek and Sterling “Steelo” Brim provide their opinions on various internet videos.
Chanel made guest appearances on the fifth season of Fantasy Factory and the second season of Ridiculousness in 2012. The same year, she became known for providing her voice for Flipz on Wild Grinders. By 2013, West Coast had also appeared on Ridiculousness’ third season, when she reprised her role as the character’s voice actor. There will be a sixth season of Fantasy Factory and the fourth season of Ridiculousness, both of which were announced in 2013.
Chanel’s Career in Music
In 2009, Chanel started in the recording studio and had since worked with various musicians. She also released “Melting Like Ice Cream,” a song with Tiffanie Anderson, in that same year. She then collaborated with Midi Mafia on the Planet Hollywood song “PHAMOUS,” which featured her.
Chanel announced in 2011 that she had signed to Polow Da Don’s record company Zone 4, yet she ultimately left the label without releasing any music under that contract. After recording a music video for her song “I Love Money,” which she made available for free download online, Chanel began releasing her original songs around this time.
In 2012, Lil Wayne added Chanel to the roster of artists contracted to Young Money Entertainment. She recruited artists like Snoop Dogg, French Montana, Ty Dolla $ign, Robin Thicke, and Honey Cocaine for her 2013 mixtape titled Now You Know.
Dropkick Divas Media’s Riley Sky graded the mixtape a B+, writing that “Now You Know accomplishes [the] aim” by “[selling] Chanel as an independent woman; its hip-hop-inspired style makes “Now You Know” passionately distinctive.” Chanel embarked on two solo tours—the Punch Drunk Love Tour and the Now You Know Tour—to promote her mixtape. In addition, she dropped a video for her single “Been On,” which featured French Montana. In August 2015, she dropped her second mixtape titled WAVES, which featured appearances from YG and B-Real.

“I don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet. I’m just praying for a happy, healthy baby,” Chanel, born Chelsea Chanel Dudley, told E! News as she confirmed her pregnancy news.
“I’m just really excited for this next journey in my life. It’s probably my scariest journey yet, but sometimes the scary roads lead to the best endings.”
“From a very young age, I knew that I wanted to sing and dance and be on TV,” she told the outlet. “I just can’t wait to see what my child’s dreams are and help them pursue that all along the way.”
After going public with their romance earlier this year, the rapper called her partner her “foreva” during their recent trip to Coachella.
West Coast revealed to the source that she had experienced some morning sickness during the first trimester and called her model beau the “most level-headed person” in her life.
“Raising children is not an easy thing so you really have to be like that to be a good dad. He’s just so calm and relaxed and I can be a little bit crazier. I think that he’s the perfect balance for me,” she told E! of Fenison.
