Billy Seidl was born in Newton, Massachusetts on November 9, 1999. In high school, Seidl participated in two sports: football and baseball. He pitched for the baseball squad and was the quarterback for the football team.
Seidl was a member of the National Honor Society in addition to attending the all-boys independent Catholic high school St. Sebastian’s School, which is located outside of the Boston region. The Chicago White Sox selected him with the 461st overall choice in the 15th round of the 2022 draft.
He was assigned to the White Sox’s Single-A club, the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, in August 2022, a Minor League Baseball team. Despite not being officially included on the White Sox roster, he did train with the club in Arizona during spring training, as shown by his proposal location to Biermann.
