Shanin Blake started playing music when she was 14, after falling in love with Jack Johnson’s songs. When she was sixteen, she started creating her own songs and watched YouTube tutorials to learn how to play the guitar.
She was going through a lot as a teenager, so she utilized music as a kind of therapy and an outlet for her feelings. Her community was very supportive and she had a cult following of fans who were familiar with every song she had recorded.
She also gave performances at other events and film festivals including the Sundance Film Festival, the Utah Arts Festival, the Unison Festival and more.
